The Life of David Part 4: Living For His Glory

Why is there more written about David than any other person in the Old Testament? Why is David alone called “a man after God’s own heart”? How did David become Israel’s greatest king? David did not start out sitting on his throne and having an easy life – he faced challenges and needed to grow just like everybody else. David’s life, we find, is a model for every believer’s life!
In the fourth part of this story, David has finally  “made it”. He became the King of Israel just as God had promised! Arriving at last…isn’t this where we all long to be? Yet we discover that the “test of success” is sometimes harder than the “test of obscurity,” and the trials of prosperity can be more challenging than the trials of poverty.
